I enjoy reframing negatives into positives and that is what I want to do with “June Gloom” a phrase that has become part popular culture here in Southern California. I over hear people attributing their “unlucky” events in their lives to “June Gloom” or how terrible they feel because of “June Gloom

We are suggestible to the words of others and seldom, if ever, stop to think if the voice in our head is uttering words that we really believe. We are programmed to think and respond on a SUBCONSCIOUS level to ideas, beliefs and suggestions that may not truly be our own.

So whose voice are you walking around with in your head?

The next time you respond verbally or non verbally to an idea or belief that is part of popular culture – STOP – take a moment to think if this is how you truly feel.

Are you living your life based on someone else’s reality or are you living a life being the authentic you?

My reframe for “June Gloom,” is “June Bloom.”

Yes, the early mornings can be foggy with an occasional drizzle. However, if we are going to allow this to make us depressed and unhappy, I suggest we focus on the positives of June so that you can put a smile on your face and some pep in your step.

June is the sixth month of the year we a half way through the journey of 2009. This is a great time to redefine your purpose and reassess your goals.

Did you spring clean your life? June is a great time to ride the tail end of spring and get your cleaning in.

June is the gateway to summer start charting the course for your days filled with fun in the sun.

For the lovers out there stop putting of your wedding, June is a great time to take the plunge.

Happiness comes from within; make a decision to make happiness your friend.
