Determination Key to Success

Posted by Adalia on 23 July, 2009

I have a dream and I am determine to wake up and make it real.

I am determine to live the life I love and love the life I’m living. I travel on my success train with a strong team and at the last stop, my team got even stronger for my success, when default, design and determination, hopped on board.

Let’s talk determination!

Determination is one of the many keys to our success. Determination is having the strength, the willpower to keep pushing ahead to accomplish your goals for the vision you have for your life.

Determination more so than ability and knowledge fosters success. Determination makes the weak – strong, the powerless – powerful and the underdog the winner.

I am delighted to have determination on my success team. Determination is powerful and I know with determination my success will soon be realized.

Share your story or someone else’s – how has determination helped to shape your life? Is there something that you have done that may not have been easy but determination fueled your desire and helped you to pull through?

Here are some other motivational resources to help keep your determination strong:

Don’t Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high;
And you want to smile but you have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit -
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver line of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are;
It may be near when it seems afar.
So, stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit -
It’s when things go wrong that you mustn’t quit.

    I agree with your thoughts on determination.

    As a young man I did not have much support to get a college degree from my parents. In school C’s were always ok and I developed bad study habits growing up but good tv watching skills. In the back of my mind I always knew I was smart enough for college but after finishing high school, I did not have the money or support to attend. I enrolled but never made it to a class.

    I was 18 years-old, washing dishes and working in factories to put change in my pocket. I always knew I needed at least one college degree. With some determination and the drive to achieve my goal, I finally made it back to college at the age of 23.

    The story doesn’t end there, being a college freshman at 23 among 18 year olds is hard. They all say “Grandpa what are you doing here”. Not to mention I had to retrain myself study skills. Yet with my continued determination I made it. It took 4 years and I got my BA.
