Pamela, you are on point - we get so busy in our microwave is too slow world - that we forget to nurture our spirit. When spirit is not nurtured the physical body and physical experience is affected negatively. some reach for drugs, food, alcohol or other escapes that wounds the spirit even more.

Thanks for your feed back Pamela. We forget to nurture self because we are too busy being busy. However, living a balanced life does not mean we give equal time to all areas. It means giving some time. Even a five minute break each day for nurturing our spirit is more beneficial than waiting until you can take off for a weekend retreat.

Too often we don't take time to nurture ourselves, yet when we do, we feel better...and most of us know those wonderful, positive feelings foster more good feelings. Too often, I tell myself I don't have time to... tho can't recall a time when the minutes spent enjoying nature, counting blessings, or in meditation did not enhance my life or my ability to enhance someone else! In the end, few of us will say we wish we spent more time working. Thanks for the reminder to consciously appreciate the goodness and the challenges in our lives.
