A hug is like a boomerang – you get it back right away.  ~Bil Keane

I happened upon this video about The Free Hugs Campaign in Hollywood; it featured the classical song “somewhere over the rainbow” sung by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole his melodious voice captured me and stimulated my curiosity about The Free Hugs Campaign.

I searched YouTube and I found dozens of  International Videos for The Free Hugs Campaign.

Scroll down and you will find a small number of these inspiring videos.

Free hugs is a real life controversial story of Juan Mann, A man whose sole mission was to reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives.

As defined by Wikipedia:  A hug is a form of physical intimacy that usually involves closing or holding the arms around the neck or waist of another person…

Wiki How says:  Hugs are an important expression of affection. By hugging someone, you remind them that you care about them and support them

Here’s my question for you: If someone grew up in a household where hugs were not used to express love … will this have a negative impact on his/her adult relationships?

I would like to address this in another post. Until then, here’s a compilation of The Free Hugs Campaign International Videos. It is worth noting the cultural differences in the receptiveness to being hugged.

One of my favorites
