Are you living before you die?
Are you living your life to the fullest NOW or are you putting your life on hold until …
You have more money
Get a better job
Find the love of your life
Lose weight
Etcetera! etcetera! etcetera!
Ponder this question:
Are you living before you die?
How would your life change if you lived your life and made decisions as if you only had NOW because death was at your door?
Would you stop worrying about what people think, looking foolish, failing, making a mistake, and not pleasing others.
Once again are YOU living before you die?
I found this video by Steve Jobs, CEO and co-founder of Apple and Pixar. In this video, taped when he gave a commencement speech at Stanford University, he offers powerful insights on living your life in the NOW and following your intuition and your heart to live your successful life.
Some of my favorite excerpts from his speech:
Find what you love, do great work, and don’t settle.
Have the confidence to follow your heart even if it means getting off the well worn path.
Don’t be trapped by dogma: living with the results of other people’s thinking.
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.
Don’t let the noise of other people’s opinion drown out your inner voice.
You’ve got to find what you love.
Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
And the excerpt that’s at the core of his speech
Remembering you’ll be dead soon is the best way to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked, there’s no reason not to follow your heart.
POWERFUL stuff. Let me know what you think of his message.
Are you inspired by this video? I am inspired to complete my confidence building book, it’s time. If you find this post helpful please share with your social media friends. Thanks
To the powerful confident you!
