What is success?
The World English Dictionary’s meaning of Success:
1. the favourable outcome of something attempted
2. the attainment of wealth, fame, etc
3. an action, performance, etc, that is characterized by success
4. a person or thing that is successful
5. obsolete any outcome
Number 5 is thought provoking – are they saying that we can no longer define Success as any outcome? Does it have to be a specific outcome for it to be called a success? I will agree that in some situations that the outcome determines success … especially if you’re being judged and there are specific guidelines to follow.
What about a successful life? Who decides if your life is successful or not?
When it comes to your successful life … you’re in a race by yourself. Therefore, only you should judge whether your life is successful or not.
For me, success is living my life based on my core values.
It’s embracing my fears and ignoring my thoughts of failure and moving forward with confidence to achieve my desired results.
It’s allowing others to live their lives based on their core values and I follow the GOLDEN RULE, “I do unto others as I would have them do unto me.”

Success can be defined in so many ways. It is different for different people. For me success simply means making a living doing what I love and enjoying my life with my family and friends. With that being said I am successful. I love my work, my daughter is the love of my life and I enjoy my family and friends. I wish for everyone to have my success as well.
