It is a psychological law that whatever we wish to accomplish we must impress on the subjective or subconscious mind. ~ Orison Swett Marden
In my last blog post I talked about three steps to change anything in your life. These steps work for many but there are those whose mindset keeps them from achieving their results.
If you struggle to create your reality, if you take action but fail to achieve your goals … your mindset may be getting in your way.
Your mindset creates your reality and the key to successful change is to change your mindset.
Change Your Mindset and Change Your Life
What is mindset?
Your mindset is your mental attitude about something in your life. Your mindset affects your life with the habits you have created. These habits are part of your subconscious mindset and whether they are good for you are not, your subconscious mind holds on to them as if they are your life line and protects them like a lioness protecting its cub.
Your subconscious mind is the GPS of your life and it guides your life on autopilot 24/7.
Some of us can bring about change using will power, rational, or logical thinking. However, most of us need to make these changes on a subconscious level. You may have the conscious desire for change, this change may be good for you, but if your subconscious mind does not accept this change as your new reality … it may be difficult, if not impossible, to make the change.
Have you experienced this in any area of your life? Please share in the comment section below.
How to change your mindset
There are a variety of tools you can use to connect to your subconscious mind and change your mindset. Some of these tools are:
- NLP
- Guided Imagery
- Yoga
- Meditation
- EFT
- Hypnosis
You can use the tool that you feel is best for you. Today, I am going to talk about hypnosis.
Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a relaxed focused state of mind. It’s is similar to the alpha state you enter just before you fall asleep. During hypnosis, your subconscious mind is open to suggestions and receptive to change. In this relaxed state of mind, you can visualize, imagine, feel, taste, and/or picture the change you desire. A strong sensory experience influences your subconscious mind to accept the change quickly and easily. Time and repetition embeds it in your subconscious mind permanently.
You can use generic self-hypnosis recordings, your own thoughts and words, or you can use a facilitator such as a hypnotherapist.
