Red Flower

It’s official June Gloom has been re-named June Bloom.

I enjoy re-framing negatives into positives and that is what I want to do with June Gloom a phrase that has become part of popular culture here in Southern California. I over hear people attributing the “unlucky” events in their lives to June Gloom or how terrible they feel because of June Gloom.

Stop Blaming June for your problems

We are suggestible to the words of others and seldom, if ever, stop to think if the voice in our head is uttering words that we really believe. We are programmed to think and respond on a subconscious level to ideas, beliefs and suggestions that may not truly be our own.

So whose voice are you walking around with in your head?

The next time you respond to an idea or belief that is part of popular culture – STOP – take a moment to think if this is how you truly feel.

Are you living your life based on someone else’s reality or are you living a life being the authentic you?

Let’s Re-frame June Gloom to June Bloom

Yes, the early June mornings can be foggy with an occasional drizzle, however, if you are going to allow this to make you depressed and unhappy, I suggest you focus on the positives of June, so that you can put a smile on your face and some pep in your step.

June is the sixth month of the year, this means you are half way through the journey of the current year. This is a great time to redefine your purpose and reassess your goals.

Did you spring clean your life? June is a great time to ride the tail end of spring and get your cleaning done.

June is the gateway to summer start charting the course for your days filled with fun in the sun.

For the lovers out there stop putting of your wedding, June is the best month to take the plunge.

Happiness comes from within; make a decision to make happiness your friend.

Thought Stimulator: People deal too much of the negatives, with what is wrong. Why not try and see positive things, to just touch those things and make them bloom.Nhat Hanh
