Whether you are a mom with a 9 – 5 job or a mom entrepreneur, at times it can be difficult, getting up in the morning and beginning your day.You just want to sink deeper and deeper into your bed and escape into sleep land. But you have a job to go to or a business to run, child(ren) needing your attention, places to go and people to see. Being the champion you are, you yawn, get up and drag yourself to begin the day.

Does this describe  how you sometimes start your day?

Here are six tips that will give you a jump start to begin your day filled with energy and confidence.

  1. To begin your day with confidence – Before going to bed prepare or edit you daily task list. This list should be for your personal life and/or your business. In the morning you will be focused on what’s import and not overwhelmed by all that needs to be done.
  2. Plan what you are going to eat for breakfast the night before. Breakfast is a very important meal for energy and overall good health. If you wait until the morning to decide what to eat, things could be hectic and not enough time for this important meal.
  3. I know this can be challenging, especially for mom entrepreneurs, however, do try to go to bed so that you get enough sleep to refresh, replenish and rejuvenate your body. Scientists have discovered the negative effects that lack of sleep has on the body –  as reported by Robert Stein of the Washington Post.
  4. When you awaken in the morning take time to stretch. Stretching is very important for your body. Stretching keeps you flexible and you will not tire easily.   5. Every morning you should have a glass of lemon water.  Even though we may not drink as much water as we should, I believe most of us understand how essential water is to our overall health.
