This quote by Anais Nin is one of my favorite quotes and it inspired me to start my blog.

I would often times say to myself “you’re not a writer Adalia.” This quote helped me to follow my own advice, the advice I’ve shared with my children and my clients … don’t wait for fear to leave before taking action. Put your foot on the gas and let fear be the fuel that takes you to your destination.

Staying on the topic of flowers: If you had to choose a flower to represent you, which flower would you choose and why?

When I was a teenager, I heard or read somewhere that the rose grew thorns to protect itself from being plucked.  Someone compared me to a rose for this very reason. This is a good example of being misread. I was just a very serious, deep thinking, introverted, but NOT shy or mean teenager.

For years the Cacti was one of my favorite plants. They are simple and complex. They are resilient and fragile. They are inviting but protective. They’ll nurture you and hurt you.

Today one of my favorite flowers is the lily in all shades. They’re beautiful and majestic. They are open and simple. With the lily, what you see is what you get. They are welcoming and you can stay as long as you want.
