The power of gratitude
Being grateful has numerous benefits for your happy and abundant life. Today, I’m going to share four of the many benefits of being grateful.
When I was growing up on the island of Antigua one of my Mother’s favorite mantras was “be grateful for what you have.” My siblings and I were so conditioned to be grateful, we would spot someone who wasn’t being grateful a mile away. They were: the complainers, the back biters, the pessimists, the gossipers, the fear mongers and all those who were too busy being negative to appreciate their bounty.
There’s always something in your life to be thankful for.
I have two sons, before age three, they were both diagnosed with asthma. There were numerous emergency room visits, yearly hospitalizations, inhalers, asthma treatments and other issues from living with this health challenge. I told my friend I was grateful that my sons had asthma. She thought I was crazy until I explained why. Even though complications from asthma has taken lives, it’s more predictable than many other deadly diseases, it’s treatable, and there are specific steps you can take to optimize lung function. Today both of my sons are healthy, thriving adults.
Being grateful creates a positive energy field around you.
Living in gratitude makes you a magnet for the good things you want in your life. It doesn’t mean you’ll never have challenges, losses, failures or disappointments. It does mean, however, that you’ll attract more of what you want and less of what you don’t want.
Living in gratitude is one of the keys to a successful abundant life
Here are four of the many benefits of being grateful.
Your mind one of the most powerful tools you have for your success.
Living in gratitude means to focus on what is good. On a subconscious level you’re programming your mind to create more of what you want. The subconscious mind wants to please you and accepts what you focus on as your reality and it will help you to attract more of the same.
Gratitude facilitates a healthy mind and body connection.
It doesn’t matter your body type, be grateful for the body you have NOW. Your body is your temple and when you honor it by finding things to be grateful for – it will stimulate your body to resist and overcome illnesses. You will glow with magnetic energy, attracting healthy personal relationships as well as profitable business relationships.
Your body is the vehicle for your Spirit.
Gratitude creates a peaceful and harmonious relationship between your spirit and the universe. Have you ever given a gift to someone and the happiness he or she expressed made you want to do it again, just to experience the feeling of joy it ignited? Your spirit becomes enraptured when you show gratitude and the Universe will support and nurture you.
That is why Money …
Is no big deal. It’s just another tool for your abundant life. When you are grateful for all that you have now – when being grateful is a daily habit – money becomes a non- issue, it’s simple another tool for your successful life.
Gratitude determines your altitude.
Be thankful regardless of what you’re experiencing: challenges, obstacles, hurdles, health issues, financial upsets, or marital problems. Each day find a reason to be grateful. You’ll be in alignment with the abundant Universe. Your vibration will be high and your higher self will be energized to take action for the vision you have for yourself, your family, your community and the world.
It’s a wrap

My grandmother always says to us that always be grateful for what you have today and tomorrow because it’s a God’s gift given to us. So be thankful and praise God.
