10 Ways to Change Your Money MindsetWhat is your relationship with money? Do you repel or attract money?  Life has show us that money does not prefer one person over another. It’s our mindset that creates our reality about money. What we focus on, our thoughts, and our beliefs affect our cash flow.

Sounds simplistic but it’s true. I’ve experienced it in my life and I’ve observed it with my family, friends and clients.

Where you grow up and the people you’re surrounded by affect your relationship with money as an adult. Maybe you grew up in a home where the conversation, or silent communication about money was negative.

Do you want to master your money mindset?

Here are the 10 steps  I’ve used to help my clients over come their limiting beliefs about money and master their money mindset.

Grab a note book and write down your answers to the following questions.

1.  What is the specific amount of money you want to have? (2 to 10 times your present income). Choose an amount YOU believe is possible.

2.  What are you willing to give to receive this money?

E.g Brilliance (expertise, talent, or your skill)

Services

Material Goods

Time

Investment (money)

Other

3.  WHY do you want this money? Your reason should get you fired.

4.  Write down the exact date you would like to have the money. (must be believable)

5.  Write down a step by step plan to create this money.  Be crystal clear.

6.  Put your plan into action. Be laser focused and persistent. You must have a strong belief in your goal.

Start action steps right away.

Don’t wait for the perfect time.

All you have is now.

7.  Write a statement that includes:

  • Amount of money you desire.
  • Specific and believable time frame.
  • What you’re going to give to receive your money.
  • The specific plan to accumulate this money.

8.  Read your statement three times a day. Upon awakening, during the waking hours and in the evening just before closing your eyes for sleep. Make several copies and post in your bathroom, in your kitchen and keep a copy in your car and one in your purse or wallet.

9.  Identify your success stoppers – negative self-talk about you and money. Acknowledge them and replace with empowering talk.  For example

E.g I ‘m always broke. (negative)

I take action to increase my cash flow 10 times more than it is today. (positive)

Money is evil (negative)

Money is a useful resource for living in today’s world. (positive)

10.  Spend 10-15 minutes quiet time each day with your eyes closed and visualize, imagine, feel, hear ( cha-ching cha-ching) or taste your money being in your possession. (yes taste, some people can taste their accomplishments)

See It.

Taste It.

Feel It.

Hear It.

Affirm it.

Show Gratitude.

BELIEVE IT!

It’s a wrap

Carol Tuttle, energy healer, is one of my favorite people to watch on YouTube. In one of her videos, she made this statement “money is neutral.” And I believe it. Money doesn’t choose one bank account over another. It goes to those who have a positive mindset for money and do something for their financial abundance.
