The first opportunity I’m going to talk about is affiliate marketing. There are millions of pieces of information available on affiliate marketing.
What is affiliate marketing?
Affiliate Marketing has to do with promoting products and services that are not yours for monetary compensation. You can promote digital and tangible products. There is a limitless supply of products and services for you to promote.
How to get started
You need to first pick a niche. If you’re a first timer pick a niche that you’re familiar with or something you’re passionate about.

Relationships
Dating

There are literally thousands of products and services to choose from.
CAUTION: Choose wisely
Next you will need a website.
There are many platforms for websites
But I highly recommend that you go with www.wordpress.org.They have FREE themes or you can purchase a theme. If you want to keep your overhead low – Do what I did – choose the free theme and get a paid one later.
Domain name
I’ve used the same company to purchase my domain names – Godaddy.com you can do your research and find another one. Godaddy’s customer service is second to none.
Hosting
You’ll need hosting for your website. I use Bluehost.com. They have excellent customer service. Once again do your research and use a company that best suit your needs.
Finding products and services
Amazon.com has an outstanding Affiliate program it’s easy to sign up with them.
Clickbank.com – this is a huge market place with thousands upon thousands of digital products.
Commission Junction – is another huge market place.
There are many other large and small affiliate programs out there. Be diligent.
Affiliate Marketing takes time and effort. You need to study, learn and implement. AND most important do not get distracted by information overload. Find a program follow it from a-z, instead of jumping all over the place. DON’T develop the shiny object syndrome.

Choose one and follow the steps. Don’t be distracted and stay the course.

You’re going to need strategies to get people to purchase the 
product/service you’re promoting.
Here are some suggestion.
- Promote from your Facebook wall.
- Make connections on Twitter.
- Post regularly 2x per week. (I highly recommend blogging for your affiliate marketing)
- Comment on other blogs in your niche on a regular basis.
- Create YouTube Videos.
- Don’t forget offline promotion.
- Associate and collaborate with other Affiliate marketers
There are countless ways to promote and get visitors to your site. And it’s ever changing. If you want to reap the monetary benefits of being an Affiliate marketer you will have to keep educating yourself. Pay attention to trends and marketing. Stay focused and committed to your purpose. AVOID THE SHINY OBJECT SYNDROME!
