Love is in the air …
Today is Valentine’s Day 2015 – PONDER this:
What do you love about you? Do you feel uncomfortable as you ponder this question? Women get like that, we’re conditioned to believe that anything that represents self-love is egotistical and narcissistic.
Well they’re wrong!
Look at the news and you will see that self-love is missing from many of our lives. Self-love is about honoring, respecting, accepting, healing, pampering, nurturing and loving one of the most important people in your life, YOU!
I am going to start this conversation by saying:
I love being a woman.
I love my essence.
I love my color, my hair and my body.
I love being a mom and a grandmother.
I love being a sister, aunt, niece and a friend.
I love being an entrepreneur and a coach.
I love that I care, share, and inspire others to live the life of their dreams.
I love that I’m am intuitive and nonjudgmental.
I love my gift of understanding and getting along with people from all walks of life.
There is so much I love about me, but most important of all … I love being ME.
Express Yourself!
What do you love about you? Give yourself permission to speak about you.
I will begin the conversation by saying I love your uniqueness.
Happy Valentine’s Day and every other day!
Shameless request!

Thank you Adalia for the opportunity and encouragement. I’m approaching 40 next month and some events have occurred in my life that has caused me to look at everything differently. I realized that I was so concern about and caring for others that I often put my own feelings aside and sacrificed my own happiness. Until one day, a “switch” inside of me happened. I realized my value, my worth! I love me! I love my tenacity. I love the gifts and talents that God has blessed me with. I love my smile and laugh. I love how sexy I feel for myself whether I am in sweats, business attire or that one black dress for any occasion. I love my heart for forgiveness and ability to grow in stressful circumstances. I love that God has groomed me to be a good mother, wife, business partner, friend, sister, aunt, entrepreneur, counselor, consultant, lover, and the list goes on…I love the Good in ME! I love me because God loved me first and taught me how to love ME!
WOW!! I must confess that reading this made me teary. I can feel the power and strength you exude through your words. I can sense your affirming and accepting of all that you are and all that you’ll grow into. We are perfect as we are but we are also perfection in the making. I am so thankful that you stopped by and shared. Sista, I can feel you. Beautiful!! Beautiful!!
Self-love is very important because it makes it easier to love others. I love my compassion, my experiences, but most of all, I love my strong connection with my Heavenly Father, and the power and comfort He has given me. I continue to work on myself so that I can be a more loving person. Thanks Adalia, for the opportunity to look within.
Thanks for stopping by Mujiba. I can feel your spirit and the connection you have with your Heavenly Father. We are perfect but we’re still becoming.
Continued success in all you do. You’re worthy of abundance, love and all that you desire.
Peace and Love

I WAS ALWAYS TOLD THAT I WAS NOT A GOOD PERSON BUT LOOKING BACK ON MY LIFE WAS THAT I WAS NOT THINKING ABOUT ME ONLY WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAID. THANK YOU ADALIA YOU ARE A GOOD FRIEND. THERE WAS WON PERSON THAT WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR ME WAS MY GRANDMA AND I LOVE HER VERY MUCH. I WISH SHE WAS HERE TO DAY BUT SHE WITH GOD AND I KNOW THAT SHE IS LOOKING DOWN ON ME.
Hello Anne,
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Yes, you are a good person, as my grand daughter says”God doesn’t make junk.” Always stand firm in your knowing that you are good person … because you are.
I hope to see you here again.
Thank You,
I do not feel at all uncomfortable. I can only give as much love as I have. I have to be love before I can truly love others.
Most people forget the ‘as yourself’ part of the “Love your neighbor as yourself” and give more love to others than they do to themselves. The conversations people have in their own minds, the names they call themselves, the accusations and recriminations that go on are destructive. I often recommend Louise Hay’s CD “How to Love Yourself” CD to my students. When you truly love yourself you can love the world.
Thank you Natalie … I’m glad you got value from the post. Hope to see you here soon.
I love that I’m becoming more at ease and comfortable w/i my skin…for so many years I felt a bit incomplete as a woman w/ a disability. We seem to never make the radar in media, as if we don’t exist! I take Gandhi’s mantra “Be the change you wish to see in the world” to heart..concluding if don’t see it, it’s because I have to be the example. So, perhaps with age (40, later this year…yay!!) and wisdom, I’ve learned to lend my self compassion, be soft and feminine and rather pit-bullish when it comes to advocacy… unapologetically! We matter, each and every one of us…matter!
Heather you’re awesome! Your words will inspire others to fall in love with self. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.
Thank you
